Research Abstract Scholarship for Specialist Students and Young Specialists

Registration scholarships and accommodation support will be provided, within the bounds of possibility, to the specialist students and young specialists (specialists in the first 5 years of their specialization) who will present a research abstract at the Annual Meeting of the Psychiatric Association of Turkey and the 3nd International 27th National Clinical Training Symposium.

Application Requirements

• To be a member of PAT and to have paid membership fees including 2025 fee,
• To have become a specialist after May 1, 2019 or to be a specialist student,
• Acceptance of the first name research abstract to be presented at the Annual Meeting of the Psychiatric Association of Turkey and the 3nd International 27th National Clinical Training Symposium,
• Sponsored specialist students and specialists cannot benefit from the scholarship.
• In order to benefit from the accommodation scholarship, the owner of the abstract must not reside in the city where the meeting is held.

Application

Scholarship applications will be done online via the system during the Oral and Poster abstract application.

In order for the application to be evaluated, your application documents detailed below must be uploaded as a single pdf file to the relevant field in the 8th step of the abstract submission system until the deadline for submission.

• PAT Membership 2025 dues receipt and document that there is no debt in dues
• Proof of being a specialist student or in the first five years of specialization
• The deadline for the scholarship application is April 1, 2025, which is the deadline for poster and oral presentations. Applications received after this date will definitely not be evaluated.

Priorities to be Considered for Scholarship

It is aimed to provide as many scholarships as possible to specialist students and young specialists who apply to the Turkish Psychiatric Association Annual Meeting of the Psychiatric Association of Turkey and the 3nd International 27th National Clinical Training Symposium with an accepted research abstract. However, resources make it difficult to respond positively to every application. Therefore, in case the number of applications is high, priority will be determined by taking into account the following principles in determining the specialist students to be awarded scholarships:

• Not having attended to PAT congresses with a PAT scholarship before
• Considering interregional and inter-institutional balance

Important Notice: Those who will attend the Annual Meeting of the Psychiatric Association of Turkey and the 3nd International 27th National Clinical Training Symposium with PAT Congress Support Scholarship are required to present the abstract that is subject to the scholarship at the symposium. The Psychiatric Association of Turkey reserves the right to withdraw the scholarship in case of failure to present the abstract that is subject to the scholarship without a valid excuse submitted to the Central Executive Board before the presentation time and accepted as reasonable.
